Coming to therapy is not about failure, it shows you care enough to make your relationships and happiness a priority.
About me and my practice
Hello, and Welcome to my profile.
With me you will feel relaxed and emotional held from the offset.
am a highly successful psychotherapist with nearly a decade of experience seeing individuals and couples.
What makes me an effective therapist is both my extensive professional and personal experience. Being a therapist wasn't always apart of my carer path. I was lead to this profession after a variety of careers such as nursing, working in surgical and ICU, rehabilitation, and end-of-life.
I have expertise with trauma, childhood neglect, depression, attachment and commitment issues, bereavement (including suicide, sudden and traumatic death, child and baby loss), domestic violence, relationships, anxiety, stress.
My experience has taught me the importance of working holistically, with body and mind to integrate and understand 'self'.
I offer a personalised approach to therapy, as I sincerely believe that building a genuine, yet professional connection is key to you being yourself in therapy, and achieving good outcomes.
With all this in mind, you will feel welcomed with me from the moment we connect, I will provide you a space that feels relaxed for you to open up about the matters close to your heart - with me there is genuinely no judgement.
Remember, we all experience difficult transitions at times in our lives, and navigating these alone can exacerbate how we feel and cause unhelpful thinking. With the right support, you can grow as an individual or couple. Therapy is not a quick fix, so if that's what you seek, I may not be the right therapist for you. I work at a comfortable pace, client led, using various schools of thought and techniques - including challenging. I build genuine connections through my authenticity, so you will always feel very welcome to return at any point in the future should you need support.
